techPresident is reporting that The Democratic National Committee just launched a new microsite titled BP Republicans. The mid-term microsite has email, Facebook, and Twitter integration and features such Republican figures as Reps. Joe Barton (TX), Michelle Bachmann (MN), and Steve King (IA); and Senate candidates Rand Paul of Kentucky and Sharron Angle of Nevada.
The Democrats are hoping to get supporters to push a cozy relationship between BP and the GOP in order to disaffiliate themselves with any political connection to the oil giant or the oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.
